The team wore the design to support Amiel Sawdaye, Senior Vice President & Assistant General Manager of the Diamondbacks™, and father to Mia Sawdaye, who has the rare disease.
Williams syndrome is a genetic condition that affects approximately 1 in 10,000 individuals at birth. Medical problems, including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning challenges are on the list of challenges that they face. Still, on the positive side, they are known to be highly social, extremely friendly, have striking verbal abilities, and have a high affinity for music.
